Eating a safe and inclusive classroom environment is crucial for the success of all students. Our workshop series provides the tools to effectively address and interrupt racial microaggressions without compromising relationships or trust. By confronting implicit bias and disrupting microaggressions, we can foster authentic relationships and cultivate an environment of joy and belonging, promoting learning for all. Unaddressed implicit bias leads to racial microaggressions, resulting in an unsafe learning environment.
Participants will clearly understand the definition of implicit bias and racial microaggressions while learning how to recognize it in classroom settings. Participants will be exposed to proven strategies to counter the negative effects of microaggressions, modern forms of racism, and implicit bias. Participants will have an opportunity to raise questions and discuss challenges in real time.
